Prenatal Yoga

One of our favorite (and maybe one of the most important) classes we offer is for moms-to-be.  Yoga in any stage of pregnancy is can support the whole body, mind and spirit of the new mom-to-be. Learning breathing techniques, relaxation skills, and postures for stretching and toning can truly make the difference in having a pregnancy that is full of ease.  You will also learn skills and gain confidence to aide in the journey of labor.  Bringing a baby into this world is no small thing, and prenatal yoga is a wonderful way to connect deeply to yourself and your baby, and cultivate trust in the process of birth.

Meet Your Teacher: Nil Akselioglu Nil received her RYT-200 from Thrive Yoga in Rockville. She has been practicing for over 15 years and practiced throughout her 3 pregnancies, leading her to want to help other mamas-to-be.  She found it was an integral part of maintaining a healthy pregnancy and was extremely valuable during labor and childbirth. She has found that time and again, yoga has provided her a space to not only celebrate the joys of life, but to work through challenges and grief,  all while building strength in body and mind. She believes that yoga is for every body and is excited to share her knowledge and love of yoga with her students.
